چکیده

Graphs are a commonly used formalism for modeling many different kinds of static and dynamic data. In many applications, data modeling can be improved by using hierarchically structured graphs. But, while there already exist hierarchical graph data models, no generalpurpose hierarchical graph data model exists yet, which unifies common features of these domain-specific models. In this paper, we present graph packages, a general formalism for defining hierarchical graphs, supporting the most important features found in known applications. Because of the dynamic nature of graphs, hierarchical graph transformation is also an important issue to be dealt with when using hierarchical graphs. Motivated by the successful application of graph grammars to the specification of graph transformations, we also introduce a framework that allows to specify hierarchical graph transformations by combining existing graph grammar approaches and our graph package concept. These concepts are a step towards the definition of a generalpurpose hierarchical graph data model.

A Hybrid Meta-heuristic Approach to Cope with State Space Explosion in Model Checking Technique for Deadlock Freeness

Model checking is an automatic technique for software verification through which all reachable states are generated from an initial state to finding errors and desirable patterns. In the model checking approach, the behavior and structure of system should be modeled. Graph transformation system is a graphical formal modeling language to specify and model the system. However, modeling of large s...

Implementing Graph Transformation Languages using RDF Storage and SPARQL Queries

The Resource Description Framework (RDF) format has seen signficant interest from industry as a flexible format for graph representation. However, RDF has so far not been widely used in the context of graph rewriting tools. In this paper, we take AToMPM, our research-oriented meta-modelling and graph rewriting tool and extend it by adding RDF-based graph transformation functionality. We address...

An Optimal Approach to Local and Global Text Coherence Evaluation Combining Entity-based, Graph-based and Entropy-based Approaches

Text coherence evaluation becomes a vital and lovely task in Natural Language Processing subfields, such as text summarization, question answering, text generation and machine translation. Existing methods like entity-based and graph-based models are engaging with nouns and noun phrases change role in sequential sentences within short part of a text. They even have limitations in global coheren...

Graph Abstraction and Abstract Graph Transformations (Amended Version)

Many important systems such as concurrent heap-manipulating programs, communication networks, or distributed algorithms, are hard to verify due to their inherent dynamics and unboundedness. Graphs are an intuitive representation for the states of these systems, where transitions can be conveniently described by graph transformation rules. We present a framework for the abstraction of graphs sup...

Adding Recursion to Graph Transformation

In this paper we define recursive rules in the double pushout approach (DPO) to graph transformation. Classical DPO rules are extended with a base case condition and a recursion condition. Mechanisms are provided to pass the match from both conditions to the rule’s left hand side, and also between two consecutive steps in the recursion. The approach is useful when recursive structures (such as ...
